Admissions Policy Consultation

Symphony Learning Trust Schools Consultation on joint School Admissions Policy and arrangements for entry from Autumn 2026 onwards

Dear Parents, Carers and Stakeholders

Symphony Learning Trust Schools are consulting on their joint School Admissions Policy and arrangements to take effect from Autumn 2026. You are invited to make comment on the proposed policy and any changes as detailed below.

The table below shows the proposed changes by school.

School	Proposed Changes
All Schools	Criteria will not be applied in combination. Instead, places will now be allocated using a single criterion + distance (as the tie breaker). See section 1.22 Admissions Criteria, 1.3 and Note i
Glen Hills Primary School	Reduce the Planned Admission Number (PAN) from 74 to 60 as shown in section 1.9
Foxton Primary School	Change from single school admission policy to shared Trust policy containing individual criteria
Foxton Primary School	Priority change – Sibling moved up to Priority 2, Priority change - Catchment dropped to Priority 3 Criteria 5 – Linked Junior School removed as no longer relevant Staff added as Priority 5 Straight line distance dropped to Priority 6

The governors at Glen Hills Primary School would like to assure the local community that should the numbers increase in the local area, the school will reconsider the PAN of 74.

Schools, parents of children aged 2-18, residents and other members of the public will have the opportunity to have their say on this policy and proposed changes between Tuesday 5th November 2024 and Tuesday 17th December 2024.
