Statutory policies are the policies the Trust legally must have in place. All of these policies are based on the advice from the Department for Education and Leicestershire County Council. The other Trust policies are ones that although legally the Trust is not obliged to have, Trustees feel are needed for the efficient running of all schools in our Trust and to maintain our common aims and ethos.
Schools also have a host of other policies relating just to their school, which are either statutory or non-statutory. These include policies relating to Safeguarding, Behaviour, Homework and the Curriculum.
All policies are reviewed by either Trustees ( Trust based policies) or Local Governors ( School based policies) in a timely manner, as set out in the Trust's Policy Review Schedule.

All of our Human Resources' policies are based on the generic policies from Leicestershire County Council and many are subject to consultation with staff, unions and professional organisations. As one employer, we ensure all schools adhere to the same terms of employment as set out in these policies.
